Kim Hanbin or more known as B.I was born at 22 October 1996. He was a leader and a member of a South Korean boygroup, iKON. He was leaving the group at 12 June 2019 because of a drug scandal. He is a producer, lyricist, composer, and also a choreographer.
Hanbin was always interested in music and rapping. Started in a very young age, he was featured in MC Mong's song called "Indian Boy" at 2009. He joined YG Entertainment in early January 2011.
After WIN, Hanbin joined another survival show called MIX & MATCH in 2014. Hanbin won and debuted with Yunhyeong, Jinhwan, Bobby, Donghyuk, Junhoe, and Chanwoo. Hanbin was chosen as the leader of the group. He also placed as main dancer and lead rapper.
iKON debuted at 15 September 2015 with a song which hitted charts every week, "My Type". They also released a rhythmical song called "Rhythm Ta". iKON rocked MAMA 2015 stage because of their stage performance which was very attractive for a rookie group on that year. They also won an award named 'Best Rookie Group of the Year'.
As a producer, Hanbin produced a lot of song not only for iKON, but for another group and singer too, like BLACKPINK's hit, "Whistle", WINNER's debut song, "Empty" , Lee Hi's "1, 2", and many more. He was also featured in "Bomb" by PSY, "No One" by Lee Hi, "Mollado" by Seungri, and "Born Hater" by Epik High.
Hanbin had lot of unreleased songs. He sometimes posted the songs on his Soundcloud, 131, or played it when he went live in V-Live, a broadcasting app.
In June 2019, Hanbin was in a collaboration with his senior in YG Entertainment, Lee Hi, on a song called "No One". On 12 June 2019, Hanbin was accused for using drug by Dispatch on 2016 before. Because of this scandal, Lee Hi was continuing her song's promotion by herself.

Hanbin was feeling much pressure and stress during Mix and Match era. After debut, iKON was receiving so much love because of their hit songs like "My Type" and "Rhythm Ta". But iKON was on a hiatus for almost 2 years because they were busy with their Japan Tour. They released another album called New Kids : Begin in 2017 which only had 2 songs, "Bling Bling" and "B-Day".
iKON's name was a legit in 2018 after they released an album called Return. The main track of Return, "Love Scenario", was a national mega hit. Love Scenario topped the chart for weeks and won many music award show. iKON was invited to perform in Asian Games Closing Ceremony 2018 and they performed Love Scenario which made Love Scenario famous in Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia. Love Scenario was even banned for children in South Korea because the song was so addictive and the kids couldn't stop singing it.
Because of their success, they was given a reality show called "iKON TV" which is self produced by the iKON member. They also released another single named "Rubber Band".
They released another album in September, with a main track called "Killing Me" which also topped the charts because of the beat and catchy frase, "Killing Me".
All of iKON's album was produced by Hanbin itself. In October 2018, they released another album named "New Kids : Final" with a main track called "Goodbye Road". "Goodbye Road" was also composed by Hanbin.

In early January 2019, iKON released "I'm OK". It had a nice beat and catchy frase but they didn't do promotion for the song.
Love Scenario was nominated on many award show. Hanbin was announced as the best songwriter in MMA2018. Love Scenario also won "Song of the Year" award at the 2018 Melon Music Award and 33rd Golden Disc Awards. This made Love Scenario recognized as iKON's signature song.
In June 2019, Hanbin was in a collaboration with his senior in YG Entertainment, Lee Hi, on a song called "No One". On 12 June 2019, Hanbin was accused for using drug by Dispatch on 2016 before. Because of this scandal, Lee Hi was continuing her song's promotion by herself.
Hanbin announced he left the group at June 12th 2019 on his Instagram account. He also announced that he only bought the drug but didn't use it due of scared and care of his sister. He also told us on his Instagram that he was ashamed of his fans and the member, so he decided to cut his contract with YG Entertainment and left iKON. Fortunately, Hanbin's drug test showed that he didn't use any drugs before.
Since January 2019, Hanbin's Soundcloud often posts a demo song every two months. Let's hope for the best for Hanbin!
